The Evangeline Club - ‘A Place To Belong’ - is more than a tagline; it’s the heart of our mission.
Located in the heart of the Annapolis Valley, we’re a community committed to nurturing social connection and mental wellness. Whether you’re seeking support, interested in learning more about us , or eager to contribute as a volunteer, we warmly welcome you to visit us at our location in Berwick. Together, we can create an environment of understanding, acceptance, and mutual support. Come join us, engage with our community and discover the ways you can belong, contribute, and grow. We are open Monday to Friday 9am-2:30pm
No appointment necessary!
Although we refer to folks who attend the clubs members - it does not come with a membership fee, or any permanent commitment.
Human beings share the need to connect with others, to grow within the community, and to share their dreams and desires.
For those of us facing mental health challenges it is difficult to find spaces where our desire for community can be realized.
Financial insecurity, food insecurity, housing insecurity, lack of affordable transportation, stigma about mental health, and anxiety and fears are barriers to meaningful engagement.
Essential Resources
Daily Free Meals
In need of a meal?
A free self serve breakfast is available daily from 9-10am. This consists of cereal, toast, oatmeal and fruit.
Our volunteers prepare a free hot lunch every week day, served at 12pm
Laundry Facilities
We have a washer and dryer onsite, that is available for use from 9 - 11am & 12 - 2pm
We provide detergent and dryer sheets.
All we ask is you clean the lint trap after each use.
Shower Facilities
We have a shower that is available for use from 9am - 2pm
We provide towels, shampoo, soap, etc.
All we ask is you tidy up after yourself, and put your wet towel in the laundry bin.
Computer, Phone & Wifi Access
At The Evangeline Club, we have 2 desktop computers, a phone and wifi that are available for use daily.
These can be used for looking for a job, a place to live, or for your entertainment!
